Do you have parts that just feel like their role has been to hold everything together and are barely making it through winter? You’re not alone - we all have one or (many) parts whose role is to get us through, and help us survive. It’s part of this wild human experience.
AND we all have parts that have a different longing ~ often unspoken, but felt in the disconnect, the numbness, or just the overall blah.
Join us for an immersive experience where you can reconnect with your body and nature as we transition into the spring season. In this workshop, you will be guided through somatic practices and nature-based activities to help you release tension, reset your mind, and embrace the energy of spring. Let's come together to unthaw and welcome the energy that this season has to offer.
Welcome to A Somatic and Nature-Based Reset - Unthaw for Spring in a Guided Workshop with Spot of Ground at the BODYMIND Collective (231 Main Street west - 2nd floor

🌿 A light introduction to parts work (IFS) to meet the part of you that’s been holding it all together over winter
🍃 A solo reflection with materials like soil, seeds, clay, leaves
🌀 Group connection and space to be witnessed—no fixing, not learning another skill, just presence. You can choose to speak, or stay internal.
You’ll leave feeling a bit more steady, seen, and connected to the quiet wisdom inside you with a way forward into spring. Hint* we will be using parts-work to create flower seed balls ogether that you can plant anywhere meaningful to you.
Designed to mirror the "Last frost date" (in Hamilton that is between May2 - May 10) used by farmers to describe the date traditionally used to begin planting outside where the soil has thawed, and there is no more threat of frost or hardening int he soil. Join meREGISTER HERE for an internal thaw into spring.
This is a soft launch of a larger 4-week program I’m creating. I’d love for you to be part of the beginning and offer feedback! Tea, coffee, and light snacks and all materials required are included in tickets which you can register here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a therapy group?
While is this is not a traditional therapy processing group, many things we do can have therapeutic benefits. That's the hope of this group. Through using the wisdom of ourselves and nature I hope you'll leave feeling a little lighter, or at least a little more witnessed.
Is the location accessible?
Unfortunately the location chosen for this event is not accessible. There are two flights of stairs required to reach the room. In the future I do hope to choose accessible outdoor locations and apologize for this inconvenience.
Will there be food?
I have scheduled the event in late afternoon with the hopes that you'll have a chance to have breakfast at home, or lunch later. However, I will be providing tea, coffee and light snacks because I don't believe any event should be without food!
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No! If there's anything you need that would help you be more comfortable you can bring that with you such as a specific shirt, or a blanket. However, I will have all materials required for the event.
I've never done parts work or therapy before, will I still benefit?
Absolutely! In fact the purpose of this event is to encourage the idea that therapuetic benefits can happen outside of the therapy room. there is no requirement for you to have explored your parts before. We will guide you through everything, and you can share as little or as much as you'd like.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes! We do require you to be 18 and older to attend this event.
How much is the event?
The event is $45 however I also have a limited number of $25 sliding scale pricing available. Shoot me an email to register this way basmah@spotofground.com
